TYC on the Climb

Their faces were the faces of lions, and they were as swift as Gazelles in the mountains.(I Chronicles 12:8)

Yes it is!We the Team TYC,as swift as gazelles, undertook a picnic to the nearest possible location, Nandhi Hills, on the 30th of July

(Click here for the picture Gallery)

Starting from FGAG at 13:30 hours, we embarked on a rather long journey on two wheels, (battering the scare that came in the form of a TOYOTA Qualis which was about to be hired for this cause)grabbing grub and letting go of an imported Fur Jacket (that was its expiry date-we consoled Rajesh who lost it on the way)

Our horses were a Black 100cc Splendor, a Fiery black (150 cc)FIERO and a Red UNICORN (which actually means a Horse with One Horn)and the riders were Rajesh, Dayanidhi,Abraham, Kingsly,Jean and Samuel Prince.

Long ride.......to Yelahanka and then on, yonder in the highways, hysterically peering into the open stretch of road that was so different from what we are made to view here in the precincts of the city- we twisted the throttle and settled for the breeze to storm past!

A brief stoppage to buy Sprite and Coke, only added to our curiosity to know the world up the mountains that nestled the brave Tipu Sultan.

The tyres ate tar and drank kilometres.......67 approximately! We scorched the roads, tamed the heat, crushed the mountain and caressed nature..........with our BIKES and our LIKES.Unicorn did 70KMPH up the hairpin bends and Sam had ample time to shoot at the other bikes which were coming below.

We had been to TIPU's fort and the CANON was continuously firing PHOTOS (did I tell ya that this CANON is a digital camera)

The suicide point was too scared to look at us and the cliffs had to hang their heads in shame on account of our DARE-DEVIL stunts (I wish that it had been more)

We prayed, near the temple, that GOD would send His laborers for the harvest of souls, which worshipped idols. We thanked JESUS for His wonderful creation......the sprawling spread of mountainous beauty, clothing greenery and decorated with silhouted scenery.

We had to unwind, as the clock inched closer to 6 PM.The Horses swapped-Jean and Sam on Fiero and Abraham and Kingsly on Unicorn......... and I whipped the poor Fiero to 110 KMPH in the dusky dangerous, poorly lit evening highway, with Sam keeping mum.Rajesh whipped the Splendor so hard that the Speedometer choked at 90KMPH and remained so even after it came to a halt.............before FGAG. As a team we thanked GOD for carrying us

"There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place." (Deuteronomy 1:31)

Lemme stop here....take a peek at GOD's creation through the photos without missing the TYC team that chats with nature in hilarious tones!

TYC on 23rd July 2006

What started off as a Ball Room performance is blooming into the endless episode of a MEGA SERIAL...............TYC programs I'm speaking of!

Welcome dear friends to yet another leaflet in the nostalgic diary of TYC. It has become a common belief in this part of our world that what the LORD has scripted already shall occur-Ditto,Comma and Full Stop inclusive.

and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.(Psalm 139:16)

Life is drama, world is stage, time a period, man is actor and GOD is Director! We had HOLY SPIRIT directing the proceedings on this day @ Jesus Calls Prayer Tower,28 Frazer Town. 23rd July 2006.The crowd was larger, thirsting for the touch of GOD.

The team was edited by the script writer (GOD) who had brought in new players like Banshaan on the Guitars (man, he plays Guitars from his 3rd Standard), Ashley on the Drums (he made me jump frogetting the crowd in front),Lloyd was on the keys and he started playing like a duck taking to water. The Praise and Worship Leader came in the mould called PREMJI (I think he started praising GOD before he had learnt to utter MOMMY/DADDY) Tissu and Tinu, "the nail and finger" (I mean inseparable) sisters sang as much with nary a differential note emanating out of either throat.

Thank you JESUS.He had graciously retained the familiar team-Kingsly the Captain Courageous; Sam Prince, Roopa, Rama and then the POOR ME (hehehehe-pinching myself-I dont feel the pain-I feel the grace of GOD)

IST often connotes Indian Stretchable Time and then starting at 4:50pm in lieu of the 4:30 can be taken as GOD's own timing.Captain Kingsly picked the mic to kick start the Blessing Meet.

Unanchored, the Praise Ship started afloat and the wind of the HOLY GHOST set it on sail towards the shores of heaven, Premji piloting it based on the directions from the COMPASS called GOD's presence. It was steady and I was ready to dance like David before the ARK OF THE COVENANT on the decks of the praise ship. The singers accompanied and the crowd complied with their actions for YES LORD, YES LORD...............

Florence (Florence Nightingale??????) came in. She was a LADY WITH THE TRUMPET instead of being a LADY WITH THE LAMP. Lauding her efforts to pump air from her puny frame for the glory of GOD, I took stance to sing.
No nothing was in place, not the flute, the mainstay of the famed song of yester years-DEVANAE NAAN UMADHANDAIYIL or the Keyboardist...............Samson, who played with me for this was down with illness.Again the POOR ME was left with no choice but to hurl questions at GOD...............LORD what am I doing here. Wound it in a mix and said THANK YOU JESUS (I Thessalonians 5:18) In every thing give thanks.LORD I DONT WANT TO PERFORM MEDIOCRE AGAIN..............PLEASE MASTER.

The thoughts rankled, as the choreography grew.Florence again and Priscilla, good show it was. These people have a zeal to display their talents for GOD.LORD, bless their talents.

Tissu and Tinu washed the previous mediocrity in song with their solid song in sync-Araadhichu.Thanks JESUS.

The Message started on a low key and picked up in full blast .It reverberates in my ears still "If you are not willing to share the gospel with your friend, dont even talk to him". He appealed like this-If you become trendy about holiness then GOD can transform this nation.

The message tapered and elongated into a worship song "Father I adore you" Sam and Daya said that they felt the captivating presence of GOD. Yes,it shrouded me too with incremental instalments.

Time for Prayer and Leena Akka, prayed until the Spirit of Intercession led her to wind up after addressing all needs to the Almighty.

To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it). (Jude 25)

24th&25th June@TYC Bangalore

How do you feel, when you see perfection happening, even when you are terribly underprepared?

That is an exhilarating experience and it occurred to us at TYC, Bangalore.

The musicians were not in place. Stanly (the pianist) had to go to China and then Danny (Lead Guitarist) had to trace his work to Dubai, Kiruba, our drummer is bogged down by the pressures of work and Sunny (drummer) is in the midst of his exams My heart was asking God........"Lord, how are we gonna fare this time. Just a small bunch of singers (who are not through the rigours of perfect sync with music), two established musicians in Kingsly and Samson and a Sound System that does its routine for professional music outfits (except ours). Lord, how is it going to be this time?

"Be still, and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)

Sure, He did show His power!

The Missionary Dedication Service @ the all too familiar VISHRANTHI NILAYAM which has seen our performances for the LORD in the past. This was an invitation from BYM, a welcome change from our regular performance for our own crowd. We PRAYED as a team and asked the LORD to precede our proceedings. Yeah, HE visited. The almost, packed to capacity crowd, lost themselves in the Holy Spirit's presence. Thank you JESUS. An extended invitation from BYM to assist them in music for the release of their Praise Collection. Kingsly agreed, I nodded....... in gratitude to the Lord.

TYC Meet on the 25th June 2006

25th and FGAG. TYC team meets Archana & Suvina, our past TYC powerhouses. The team agrees to meet by 2:30/3pm at the stage (JESUS CALLS PRAYER TOWER) For a turn , we started setting up our PRAYER EQUIPMENTS, before the Muscial Instruments could be tuned in . Holy Spirit was the Commander in Chief and the Captain Kingsly, translated His dictations. Jacob, who actually assists us in setting the equipments, played the drums alongside Kingsly on the Bass and Samson on the Keys, until Sunny arrived. This crude looking Jacob played near perfect rhythm though he had no idea of the songs that we were belting out. Thank you JESUS. The singers were a strong band comprising Sam, Nelson, Rama, Rajeshwari, Glory and Roopa and led by the grace of God on Jean.

The sluggish flow of the praise session (dampened so by the rain 'n' water concerns above head) had to be replaced by a constant flow of thanks to the LORD for all good and evil. (there were sobbing sounds, with "THANK YOU JESUS", heard from some parts of the crowd) I shouted THANK U LORD from the four chambers of my heart.

Bro.Dayanidhi was a surprise package with his flute, tamarind and a nerve tingling testimony on his conversion from a hindu/rowdy/musician background.

We were getting near the end of the fuse and the bomb (God's presence) was triggered by Maxwell, who carried so much of prophetic words for almost everyone. The day ended with people tip-toeing to him for his prayers.

There were around 150 people in attendance and three new musicians volunteering to play with TYC. GOD, ur works are marvellous. A Trumpeteer (Female), an Electric Guitarist and a percussionist cum Flutist (Dayanidhi-on Tabla, Congos, Dolak and Flute)
This Day goes down into the TYC Bangalore's Diaries as a prelude for the far greater things to happen and times to come.

Love N Prayers Jean Walter

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)
